Registering your business name doesn’t stop someone else using your brand. A registered trademark does. We search, prepare and file your application at the Intellectual Property Office of Trinidad and Tobago, then follow it through to registration.

Is registering my business name enough?
No. A business name registration records who trades under a name. A trademark gives you rights in the brand itself for the goods and services you register.
How long does it take?
The Intellectual Property Office estimates about four months from filing to registration if there are no objections from the Office or third parties.
Does it protect my brand overseas?
A Trinidad and Tobago registration covers Trinidad and Tobago only. We can tell you about options for other countries.
What if someone opposes my application?
Oppositions and disputes are legal matters. We will refer you to an attorney and support them with the file.
Can you register a logo as well as a name?
Yes. A word mark, a logo, or both can be registered.
Ready to protect your brand?
Send us the name or logo and what you sell. We’ll start with a search.
